Samus Aran’s overall agility matches that of her Super Smash Bros incarnation for the first time, and her combat repertoire now includes finishing moves, dodges, and grapple strikes. Also unusual for a Nintendo title is plenty of spoken dialogue from the title character, both in cinematics and plot segments, as well as monologues revealing Samus’ thoughts and sentiments throughout the story. The franchise extensively uses cinematic cutscenes to describe the backstory of Samus, her relationship with Adam Malkovich, and her former military affiliation. This is in addition to the story element in which she does not utilize anything unless it has been allowed. The game is played with just the Wii Remote and no Nun-chuck device.Īs is customary in the series, Samus can upgrade her weaponry and weapons by gathering materials discovered while exploring the game.
